Dr. Michelle Swift Corcoran, DDS
Dentist/Owner
She's a girl boss, dentist, wife, Christian & mom to five! With her passion for happy healthy smiles and genuine concern for the comfort and overall health and wellness of her patients, Dr. Michelle Corcoran, owner of Peppermint Sage Dental Wellness in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is going above and beyond to learn all about biological dentistry and how oral health plays a big role in overall health and wellness.
A graduate of Barbe High School in Lake Charles, LA, Dr. Corcoran received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, and continued on to LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. But her education has not stopped there. She continues to seek out continuing education opportunities in order to stay up-to-date on the latest and safest in dental treatment best practices and advances in dental equipment and technology.
Dr. Corcoran is a devoted Christian, loving wife to Sean, and proud mother of their five beautiful children - John Francis, Zizi, Henry, Elijah and Sophia. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Louisiana Dental Association and the Board of Directors for Krewe of Mistique.
Whether it is providing exceptional dental care, wrapping her family and friends in warmth and love, or giving back to the community in meaningful ways, Dr. Corcoran is on a mission to change her world and the world of her family, friends and patients, with hopes to help you change your world too!
Dr. Francis Thompson
Dentist
Dr. Francis Thompson graduated from St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles and attended McNeese State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went to LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated in 2013 with her doctorate of dental surgery. Dentistry is a natural fit as a profession for Dr. Francis Thompson since it runs in the family – her great, great grandfather graduated from the first dental school to open in the United States, the Baltimore College of Dentistry, in 1908. Dr. Thompson’s dad, Dr. Rick Bercier, graduated from LSU Dental School in 1979 and he is the one who inspired a love of dentistry in her. She finds it very rewarding to be able to restore someone’s dental health – to help get a patient out of pain or to fix a broken tooth so that someone can smile confidently again.
She is married to the most incredible man in the word, Joshua Thompson, and, when she’s not in the office, spends her time enjoying her children – and, of course, brushing and flossing their teeth!
Kristen Conner
Registered Dental Hygienist
Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kristen has been practicing dental hygiene since 2010 after receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She has been with Dr. Michelle Corcoran since day one! Kristen enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health.
When not at the office, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Richard, have three beautiful children, Frankie, Andi and Hitch, and a new fur baby named Ruby Roux. Kristen loves seeing her family smile and would love to see yours too!
Brittany Stollsteimer
Registered Dental Hygienist
Brittany, born and raised in Westlake, Louisiana, has been working with Dr. Corcoran since 2014, after attending Academy of Acadiana for dental assisting. As her passion for dental health grew, she followed her heart and knew she wanted to become a dental hygienist. Brittany graduated Cum Laude from Lamar Institute of Technology in 2021. She was selected as president of her class and received awards such as Texas Dental Hygiene Association Student of Ethics and Compassion award. She was chosen to become a member of Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Association (Beta Rho Chapter). Brittany is always enthusiastic about learning new and improved dental dexterities and insights.
When Brittany is not educating patients on their oral health, she is very active with her family's busy schedules. She has been married to her amazing and loving husband, Mark, since 2015. They have three beautiful children, Attikus, Hudson, and Bradlei. Brittany loves making patients laugh and smile and she will be sure to brighten your smile too!
